M. Nafees Nagy, M.D. (Founder)
M. Nafees Nagy founded Nevada Cancer Centers in 1974 and has built one of the largest medical oncology and hematology practices in southern Nevada. He is actively involved in committee memberships and Boards of Directors for various medical and business organizations. Dr. Nagy received his medical degree from King Edward Medical College in Lahore, Pakistan, and completed his fellowship training at the University of Utah College of Medicine in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Dimitrios T. Diamandidis, M.D.
Dr. Diamandidis received his medical degree from Aristotelion University Medical School of Thessaloniki in Greece. He completed his residency in nuclear medicine in Greece and the U.S. and then completed internal medicine, followed by medical oncology and hematology at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. He served in the faculty of Oklahoma University Hospital and Clinics as Assistant Professor of Medicine in the hematology/oncology department for three years. He has authored articles and abstracts in the clinical research of oncology and hematology. He is board certified in internal medicine and medical oncology.
Vikas Gupta, M.D.
Dr. Gupta completed his residency at the State University of New York at Buffalo and completed his fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He is board certified in internal medicine, medical oncology and hematology.
Liawaty Ho, M.D.
Dr. Ho received her medical degree from University of Indonesia Faculty of Medicine. She completed her internship in internal medicine at University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria. She also completed her residency there. Her fellowship in hematology/oncology was performed at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center in New York City. She is board certified in internal medicine, medical oncology and hematology.
Shahid Malik, M.D.
Dr. Malik joined Nevada Cancer Centers in 2006. He completed his fellowship in medical oncology, hematology and bone marrow transplant at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. He is board certified in internal medicine.
David Pomerantz, M.D.
Dr. Pomerantz is a board certified radiation oncologist with 17 years experience in external beam radiotherapy, high dose rate brachytherapy, and permanent seed implant. He is experienced in IMRT/IGRT radiotherapy. He completed residency at Loma Linda University, the first large clinical proton facility in the country. He's lived in and served the Las Vegas community for the last 11 years. His prostate seed implant program has been accredited by the Proqura/Seattle Prostate Institute program and he has previously built a department accredited by the American College of Radiation Oncology.
Nikolaos Touroutoglou, M.D., Ph.D., F.A.C.P.
Dr. Touroutoglou received his medical degree from Ludwig Maximilian University Medical School in Munich, Germany, and his Ph.D. from University of Munich, Germany. He completed his training at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. He has authored numerous cancer-related articles, and is board certified in internal medicine, medical oncology, and hematology.
Xiantuo (Tim) Wu, M.D., Ph.D.
Dr. Wu received his medical degree from Anhui Medical College in Hefei, China, and received his Ph.D. from Shanghai Medical University, China. He completed his residency in internal medicine at North General Hospital, Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York and completed his fellowship at the Cancer Institute of New Jersey at Robert Wood Johnson School of Medicine, The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He is board certified in internal medicine and hematology and medical oncology.
Rixin Zhou, M.D. Ph.D.
Dr. Zhou completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Amarillo, followed by his Fellowship training in Hematology and Medical Oncology at University of Maryland Greenebaum Cancer Center in Baltimore. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology and Medical Oncology and holds a PhD in Cell Biology from University of Illinois at Chicago.
