NEW PATIENTS
If you are a new patient to Nevada Cancer Center (NCC), you will need to contact our office to schedule your initial appointment. While speaking with one of our oncology professionals, you will be asked a series of questions regarding your personal demographics and insurance information. It is important that you have your insurance cards readily available when you call. Normally, you are referred to us by one of your current physicians.

However, in the case in which you are a self-referral, either you can choose your physician or one can be assigned to you. It will be your responsibility to obtain all your records related to your diagnosis prior to your appointment. A packet will then be mailed to you for completion.

Please make sure that you arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your appointment and the packet mailed to you is brought. If you cannot keep your scheduled appointment, kindly give us 24-hour notice. After your initial visit, you will see that patient care is our top priority.

ON CHEMOTHERAPY
At NCC, we make sure that your chemotherapy treatment is done with the utmost care. A calm and relaxing atmosphere has been created in our treatment area with comfortable recliners and television sets with individual sound systems. In addition, we provide continuous monitoring during your treatment.

DIET AND EXERCISE
As we learn more about the causes of cancer, it has become apparent that eating healthy and lifestyle changes impact your success of therapy and quality of life. At NCC, we provide nutritional counseling to address your specific needs and help you maintain a healthy diet.

NCCSUPPORT GROUPS
Our staff assists many support groups. NCC offers the following support groups for their patients in helping them cope with their disease.

“Can Share” is a weekly support group for patients and their family and friends.
NCC actively supports local cancer related organizations such as the American Cancer Society with fund-raising activities, referrals, and support.
